Then came the most boring part of our journey...the wait for nxt flight.The wait was toooo long..7 hours to be precise. After the long wait, we boarded our plane to JFK @ 11 AM local time. The flight was good. This time it was full to capacity!
The majority of our flight we were over the Atlantic Ocean. It looked nice from the top. :).
After a good flight, we landed at our final destination -- John F Kennedy Intl. Airport - New York. :). Its a nice airport..very big one. But one thing which caught our eyes was a huge advertisement hoarding at the airport...It said ""What made Gandhi..Gandhi".
Well we were @ JFK, one of USA's busiest airport and we are seeing our own Father of the Nation!!. That was an amazing feeling.
But our journey was not yet over. We had to go from there to Shelton where we were put up in Homestead hotel. We had booked ground transportation to go to the hotel. All this while I was thinking..well the temperature is OK...i wus be able to bear it. But I was proved wrong. As soon as we stepped out of the airport.....I was frozen to a stand still. From 25deg. cel in Mumbai to 25 deg.Fahrenheit in NY!!.
Reached for the Ground Transportation and arrived at our hotel safely. There one of our friends in US came to receive us. He took us out for dinner that day. And then called home to tell then about my safe arrival.
Well that was my journey from Mumbai to New York!!
